Now scheduling recordings for January and February 2020 for approved podcast guests only.
Please no PR agencies, reps or assistants. Thank you for understanding.
On this page, you will schedule your podcast and I’ve provided a list of BEST podcasting tips:
1. Before you read our best tips, snag yourself a time on the calendar.
Once you have selected a time, sit back and relax.
In due time, I will send you the recording link.
a. The podcast recording will include video
b. The podcast will be conducted online. No need to drive anywhere.
c. Optional: After you have selected a time on the calendar, you may book a 30-min Get Acquainted Call to discuss any questions or content ideas that you have.
2. Here are some tips if you are new to podcasting to help you have the best experience
The art of interviewing is a popular topic, but what about the art of being interviewed on a podcast?
This is more of a leaflet than an encyclopedia, really, which quickly covers the most important tips to make yourself a valuable and welcome podcast guest. In fact, there are just a few rules to remember! =)
But First
I would like to pay tribute to the wonderful guests who have come on the podcast.
Without them, this podcast would not have been possible! I’m very grateful they found time in their busy schedules to join me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Here are 10 tips to help you shine (like a diamond) ⤵️
- Prepare a few sound bytes of your message. I will both produce and minimally edit the podcast. Be prepared with quick bytes of information to help get your business idea across to the listeners. I do produce, provide a tiny bit of editing and create graphics for the podcast which takes about 10 hours per each podcast.
- Use a good mic and try to find the most quiet place in your office or home.
- Podcasts tell stories. People buy from people so its important to tell your WHY rather than provide a sales pitch.
- Hydrate.
- Use the restroom before you start recording.
- Banish the pets (and maybe kids, friends and significant others) while recording. Although, as a Dog Mom to 2 giant dogs, I understand that sometimes life happens in the form of a squirrel outside the window. 😃 If life happens, we roll with it, its a podcast not the Spanish Inquisition.
- Turn off your phone AND turn off any sound alerts on your computer.
- Be on time. I block 30 minutes for the entire meeting but the recording section is only 15 minutes. If you miss your time, I cannot guarantee I will be able to reschedule.
- Think of it as a coffee date, not an interview. Let’s have a fun chat together. 🙋
- We will talk about Marketing. Again, more of a discussion of some of your favorite ways to market your business past and present.
- Have a list of notes nearby, or notes on a story you would like to share. I keep a list of highlights and things I’d like to mention and even will have carefully crafted questions ready so I can be ready. I may not use them all but it helps me feel more confident.
BONUS: As an active podcast listener for well over a decade, I cannot get enough of podcasts. If you are somewhat new to the podcast world, be sure to listen to some prior to your scheduled date, it will help you get a feel for a podcast and how they are different than other mediums out there. A few of my personal faves are Joe Rogan, the Tropical MBA, James Altucher, I Love Marketing, Marketing School with Neil Patel, How I Built This with Guy Raz, Nathan Latka, Marketing Over Coffee, The Art of Paid Traffic. Wow, did I mention I like Marketing?
And one more thing . . .
The podcast will be published on this site, with your own link and lots of sharing and resharing on my social platforms.
❤️ If you would consider sharing on your social media platforms to support my efforts here, it wouldn’t just make my day, it would make my year!
