McKinney, named for Collin McKinney, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and early settler in North Texas, has thrived as county seat of Collin County since it was first established in 1848. McKinney’s commercial and residential historic districts have been carefully preserved as the community continues to develop new technologies and unique destination niches.
Although McKinney continues to grow quickly, there are still plenty of treasured spots around the city to grab that awesome Insta.
