It doesn’t make you boring to not be at the latest and greatest restaurant in Dallas.
To be at the entrance gate of any number of weekend festivals or street fairs on Greenville or Grapevine or in downtown McKinney.
What you need is a safe haven, a piece of you that reflects your passions. And becomes a place of peace. A place of beauty, whether it be small or large. For us, it’s our gardens.
You’re not boring to NOT “be seen” or “on the scene”, it’s just that you’ve realized the value of something that others will spend weeks upon years filling every moment of their Google cals.
Walking out your back door day in and day out to see beauty, celebrating each day and making the ordinary extraordinary.
As I kept planting and planting throughout the Fall and Winter . . . Spring has sprung on me!
It has officially occurred to me that every free moment might just have to be dedicated to the maintenance and harvesting that my garden will provide. Providing peace, a safe haven, food and healing.
All good things.
P.S. here are a few healing balms, teas and tinctures I will be harvesting over the next 6 months:
Basil salve.
Lemon balm salve.
Sage & Lavender balm.
Lemon verbena salve.
Lemon balm tea.
Mint toothpaste.
Rose water.
Rose lip balm.
