We know that there are many dog parks in the Plano and McKinney and the general Collin County area, so it can be difficult to choose one! Or maybe you have your fave park but wanting to explore another one while the ready is amazing. We have compiled a list of Dog Moms recommended dog parks. If you’re looking for a new place to take your pup this Spring and Summer, read on.
Dog parks are a great place to let your pup roam free and socialize with other dogs. And maybe even go for a Puppacino treat afterwards.
There are several benefits a dog park has to offer. It gives it an opportunity to be free of a leash, an opportunity to be able to roam in a large area instead of being confined to a small fenced-in area or enclosure and it also gives it an opportunity to socialize with other dogs, and with other people as well.
Our dogs desire a sense of freedom and a dog park allows them to be the canine their soul desires. If you have a younger dog, they especially need a good amount of exercise so they don’t get bored which can lead to destructive behavior around the house or holes in your yard. A dog park is an excellent way for dogs to get some much-needed exercise as well as socialize with other people (both humans and canine!).
We all know that some dogs and dog parks are not a great fit and in no way should visit a dog park.
In this case, it might be better to find one other dog that does well with yours and have a mini play date at someone’s home.
Reasons Why a Visiting Dog Park Is Good for You and your Dog include:
–>socialization for your dog, being able to let your dog off the leash, letting your dog swim free (NorthBark), getting fresh air, changing up your routine with a different adventure, meeting other dog lovers and just having fun watching your dog play.
And this is something that is essential to have on you (remember, they turn off the water in the colder months)
