If you need open space to roam free OR a playground OR a place to explore OR some fantastic nature trails to take your dog on an adventure, Breckinridge Park in Richardson is the perfect place.
Henry would agree!
Since Henry knows I run the local Dog Moms group, he approves of any and all adventures.
Breckinridge Park
Breckinridge Park is absolutely perfect for a little creek walking too. Many accessible points to the creek to walk in cool, shallow water.
Breckinridge Park is a spot close to our home and a green oasis in the middle of the city. It has a number of paved trails along with unpaved trails, many of which are rocky – this means, we don’t have to wait too long after the rain to head back into the forest.
We love this perfect spot by the creek for a picnic or just to pause and breathe.
Because when all else fails, it’s best to be in the great outdoors or just the simple suburban outdoors.
Even if just for a minute, just to listen to the wildlife, the trees rustling, the water rushing over the rocks in the creek.
Taking in deep breaths of the fragrant mimosa tree in full bloom as it hovers over the creek.
I recommend going barefoot or wearing these shoes (trust me, these are the best!)
And back onto the trails to find secret swings awaiting our interaction.
I bet your children would love to be here.
Or your dog.
Or just you.
