It seems as if every store has put up its spooky displays and decorations, so we can’t deny it any longer: The Halloween season is upon us! And what’s All Hallows’ Eve without the perfect pumpkin? Sure you can grab one from the local farmers’ market, grocery store or even a home store in a pinch.
But for a more immersive experience, head on the road to pick your own pumpkin this fall. Many of these pumpkin patches and farms offer additional activities for kids, such as hayrides, bouncy houses, corn mazes and even petting zoos, so you can extend your hunt into a family day trip. If you’re looking for a truly unique pumpkin experience, Storybook Ranch in McKinney has it! Established in 1887 as a working cattle ranch, but has since been recreated into a historic western town complete with 15 buildings from the 1840’s-1860’s.
Head out to Canton for this charming patch to explore!
