Thousands American cars from the 1940s and 1950s, are still flooding the streets of Cuba.

Due to the U.S. embargo in 1962, American companies were no longer permitted to do any business in Cuba. Once the embargo was in place, it was impossible to get new American cars or even the car parts. Cubans could not buy cars but only be given cars by the government. Although Cuban residents are anxious for the EMbargo to lift, we were anxious to make our way over before this event took place . . because the streets filled with these antique cars were absolutely breathtaking!
