Reeves Family Farm began in 2006 starting with 8 acres of okra. Through the years, they have continued to grow with the addition of a farm store and tables to sit and enjoy the farm.
Located in Princeton, the Reeves Family Farm has 50 acres of organically grown fruits and vegetables.
With so many new gardeners in the metroplex, allow this farm to be an inspiration to you.
From Victory Garden enthusiasts to patio gardeners and full on homesteaders, this local farm in Collin County is going to be your happy place. Plus, its such a win-win to bring home produce and then save the seeds to add to my own vegetable garden.
Also, here is a great book on Victory Gardening, something that might be in all of our backyards in the near future. We’ve transformed our yard into a mini farm and it is super rewarding!
If you love taking care of what you put into your body and mind, then you will be in good company as the goal of the Reeves Family is to provide the freshest and highest quality food you can find.
There is nothing better tasting and better for your body and gut health than locally grown food. I have to remind myself that grocery stores haven’t been around for that long and the products inside of grocery store have not been around that long wither. Nor should some of those products even be consumed.
Of course easier said than done as we all have our addictions. When we have a visual of the process and who the farmer is that is caring for the produce, its an experience that invites us all to make better choices. Do you agree?
So when is the best time to go to Reeves Family Farm?
Whenever they are open! Of course!
The main operating days are in the Summer, mid-May – mid-September on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
If you pop in on a Saturday, the farm store will be bustling. That’s because, in addition to their curated store, they offer lunch. We’ve been many times on our way back from antiquing in Farmersville and the lunch that they serve is not to be missed.
BTW, how cute is this flower truck in downtown Farmersville.
They also have a charming farm dog that will wander around the farm and shop, as a Dog Mom, I never go without giving that sweet dog some love.
Yes, he is a big boy but extremely docile.
Keep an eye on their social channels for the season closing date. They typically open up for a few weekends in October for all the Fall goodies. FYI, when I reference the farm, its mostly a farm store, an incredible farm store but not a kids carnival. I mention this because I see many comments asking about activities. This is a great time in our history to teach our children the value of the ancient paths, understanding how food is grown, how to grow it and what local food tastes like.

What can you find at Reeves Family Farm?
Besides seeing happy workers and customers everywhere, you will find a ton of produce.
Garlic, okra, potatoes, tomatoes and all the fresh goodness. Pop into the fridge near the lunch counter and you will find prepared meals and cobblers that can be popped into the oven after a long day of work and sports for the kids.
Don’t forget to go into the small pantry room behind the cash registers. Inside this room you will discover cheese, butter, milk, caramel, sweets, lettuce, bread and many little treasures. This blueberry cobbler came home with us and was saved for family visiting. Soooo good!
We hope you get a visit or 2 in this year and discover all of the goodness that can be added to your pantry and fridge by supporting this adorable local farm.
You will find the farm store just outside of Downtown Princeton:

Have fun and store up on all the goodness!
