Once one of Dallas’ best hidden treats, this two-block former warehouse area sits in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of South Dallas. It’s home to more than 60 boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and galleries, making it one of Dallas’ most unique (and not-so-secret) districts.
I first started trekking into Bishop Arts when Bolsa opened up.
Bolsa is a New American restaurant that uses fresh, local ingredients that make up a delicious menu. Enjoy soups, salads, burgers and flatbread pizzas, and don’t leave without trying one of their signature cocktails.
Then Tillman’s Roadhouse pulled me in, then Eno’s then Ten Bells Tavern, then Mantiques . . . and I was sold.
Bishop Arts is the ultimate playground for eating, drinking and shopping for unique treasures. Nothing more, nothing less.

You must stop in the newly relocated Mantiques.
Probably some of the worst Chicken and Waffles I ever ate though. LOL. Not sure how they screwed it up but maybe my palette is not hipster enough.
And you must, must, must pop into Davis Street Espresso to start your day or end your day in the Bishop Arts District.
The Bishop Arts District is home to over 60 independent boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and art galleries, making it one of Dallas’ most unique neighborhoods.
We love exploring this district!
To make it even more of an adventure, we used the DART system, took the red line to Downtown Dallas and then hopped on their new trolley system from Union Station (in front of Reunion tower) to ride into the District.
