What if we stepped away from the “teams” they’ve steered us to be on.
The ones with labels such as . .
Liberal.
Conservative.
Democrat.
Republican.
Upper Middle Class.
Elite.
Downtown.
Uptown.
Rural.
City.
This or that.

What if we found a way to love our neighbors, love our families and even love ourselves well. Imagine if the teams, all of them, were artificially created. This is where I would throw in a few paragraphs about the hive mind or the pheromone trails of the ant computer.
But in an effort to keep this simple, what if we could –
Smile at our neighbors, say hi . . and even make some solid eye contact. In a world where “inclusivity” is the new buzz word, are we trying to mold to their definition of inclusivity or could we just continue to be kind.
Imagine a world where we welcome others and focus on the good we have in common. I am not saying that its always easy as the steering is so intense, it is hard to untangle from it some days. But anything is possible the more aware we become.
Photos: Rosemary Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies delivered to our neighbor that gave us hand when we broke down in our Model A in front of his home. Had to taste test those cookies first. Approved.
