The Texas Pool
The Texas Pool is a historic salt water pool shaped like the great state of Texas. It’s a classic spot in Texas and it is worth a trip at least once per year to say you jumped into the Texas pool.

At Jack Carter Pool, you’ll discover a mini water park:

Jack Carter Pool in Plano was once a giant rectangle where families would lay their towels in the grass, pop into the pool for some volleyball or to jump off the high dive. With Jack Carter’s latest makeover, it has evolved into a mini waterpark that Plano families love.
One thing to note, there is not a lot of shade at Jack Carter. A rash guard as seen below is extremely helpful when you are out floating the lazy river at 2 pm on a Saturday.
Liberty Recreation Center (Central Plano)

The Natatorium (East Plano, Downtown Plano)

The Natatorium aka the Nat is an indoor 25-yard facility with deep and shallow water training and swimming pool areas and a zero depth entry ramp in the shallow area. It is open weekends during the summer season and during the other seasons you will find a variety of swim classes and water aerobics.
Not too long, I ran across someone’s daughter that I taught with on our FB page – his name was Bob and he was a retired gentleman who I taught swim lessons with every Tuesday and Thursday evening. So many great memories of the students and teachers there. If you need swim classes, check Plano’s Leisure magazine.
Carpenter Recreation Center Pool (Central Plano)
Their entire swimming pool is open for select hours and allows lap swimming for specific hours too. Please check these before leaving home.
