If you follow us on Instagram or Pinterest or Facebook . . . or pop in here every once in awhile, you know how much we love exploring the outdoors.
We keep Dallas living simple.
But just like everyone else, we love exploring NEW areas.
Especially new areas to us that we can get our dog time in and a nice walk or hike.
And to be honest, a great snap as well. Hello Christmas photos!
Which makes this hidden gem in Highland Park absolutely perfect. Its called Lakeside Park or some people call it Teddy Bear park (which is what I call it).
Teddy Bear Park
Beautiful Lakeside Park sits on over 14 acres of exceptionally landscaped grounds along Turtle Creek, located between Beverly Drive and Armstrong Parkway at 4601 Lakeside Drive. If you haven’t wondered those streets before, you might like it. They are the fanciest schmansiest streets in Dallas. The Real Housewives of Dallas . . . Dallas.
The walking paths and numerous benches along the way are the perfect place for a leisurely stroll. And this park was made for picnics, its serene and picturesque from every angle.
Dutch wanted to look at his handsome reflection in the water. Of course, he wouldn’t dare put a paw in the water. He’s only half labrador afterall =)
At minimum, expect a great walk and exploring a new location. To take it up a notch, bring all of your friends and family, pack a fabulous picnic to enjoy in a serene setting, enjoy looking at the waterfall at the Turtle Creek Dam (yes there is a waterfall) and snag a family photo at the teddy bears. You might just get bigger smiles out of your kiddos.
