A Massive List of Things to Do in Anna Texas
Play at Slayter Creek Park
This park is located west of Anna Middle School at 425 West Rosamond Parkway and includes: four lighted ball fields, two tennis courts (maybe they will have pickleball soon), two basketball goals, two large multi-purpose athletic fields, a 3,600 foot walking trail, a skateboard park, a playground, horseshoe pits, a shuffleboard court, a splash pad, a frisbee golf course, a large pavilion, gazebo, and a concession building with restrooms.
Fatten Up at Spurlock’s Malt Shop
The building that houses the Malt Shop was originally used as a malt shop. It was built around 1958 and in the past has been host to barbecue, doughnuts and burgers.
Today, you’ll find a classic burger stand with your options of goodness like cheeseburgers, hot dogs, tater tots, fried pickles or pimiento cheese sandwiches just to name a few.
Of course, you could finish off your meal with a Dirt and Worms Sundae or a Fried Twinkies shake.

When the temps heat up, you and your kids will want to spend your days in water.
You’ll find the splash pad located in Slayter Park.

Natural Springs Park
The park just behind the Brookshires includes a natural spring that feeds a small man-made pond.
You’ll discover that the area around the spring and pond is heavily wooded.
A large open area is located along the west side of the tract, providing lots of room for flying kites, throwing ball ot playing with Frisbees.
